Name Game

I came across a very cute name game from Keeping Up with the Kindergartners today that I plan on starting this week. Everyday I will pick one student to be the Name Game Student Of The Day. I will write the students name on a sentence strip and read it, then I will cut it apart and place each letter in the pocket chart as we cheer "give me a ___" "What does that spell?" students will all yell out the name and the student of the day will come to the board. I will mix up the letters and they have to put it back together saying the letters as they do. Next, all the students will draw a picture  of the student of the day and label it. When everyone is finished, we will turn it into a class book that they get to take home. Jody, at Camp Kindergarten, has also created a cute book cover to go with it. You can check it out here.

    I think I saw something like it on Pinterest (or somewhere).
    What time of the day are you planning on doing it?

    OH! And please tell me how you got your font changed on your blog?! I spent a whole day over the summer trying to do that to mine but couldn't get it to work! (And it's too funny that you picked the font I was trying to use, lol!)
